Juanjo Rubiales

 

Born in Spain, Ontinyent (Valencia), in 1966. His art career began in the 1990s and since then he lets the artworks tell the story of his life, the environment and all the experiences that comes with it.

In the late 1980s, Rubiales introduced himself to the new cultural and art movements, following Richard Corben (comic magazines), El Hortelan and Ceesepe. Rubiales gets inspiration from The Ramones, The Clash, Velvet and some Spanish indie groups like Derribos, Paralálisis, La Mode and Leo fanzines amongst others.

In 1999, he made his first exhibition at Galería Expo-Arte in Madrid with huge success. The demand for his artworks rised up to a whole new level and since the he have been exhibiting several places around the world.
