Continiuum by Lorenzo Quinn
Acclaimed sculpturer, Lorenzo Quinn frequents his favoured theme of hands to convey the message that artistically cements his latest bronze piece, entitled ‘Continuum’.
A man’s hand, is shadowed above by a female hand, both of which appear to be reaching out and clasping the tiny hand of their new born, in a study that resonates with love, warmth, protectiveness, fragility and a sense of discovery.
This individually signed and numbered limited edition piece will take pride of place in any contemporary urban room space and will remain timeless in its appeal.
“It gives not many emotions, which feels like this, if you reach an objective. To have a lucky and unit family, this always was one of my big aims. Now, after years of love together with my wife, it’s my big important objective to continue it together in our project to be parents: The luck of our children and which they give to us and they will to pass to theirs”.
It’s the world presentation of the new skulpture of Lorenzo Quinn, the edition of the year 2007 which arrives on the market.
This work is homage for the family.
Often Lorenzo Quinn was working about the theme love and partnership. And in this case he incorporated the hand of a child in his work, which symbolizes to form a family and the continuation of generations.
